A Day of Quotes

Gandhi Quote of the Day:"If we are to reach real peace in this world and if we are to carry on a real war against war, we shall have to begin with children; and if they will grow up in their natural innocence, we won't have to struggle;we won't have to pass fruitless idle resolutions, but we shall go from love to love and peace to peace, until at last all the corners of the earth are covered with that peace and love for which consciously or unconsciously the whole world is hungering."

Thought for today:
From craving springs grief,from craving springs fear,For him who is wholly free from craving,there is no grief, nor fear.
All desire springs from separation,from separation springs all fear,For him for whom separation does not exist,there is neither desire nor fear. {Buddha}

The practice of peace and reconciliation is one of the most vital and artistic of human actions. {Thich Nhat Hanh}

The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.{Nelson Mandela}

Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everyone, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has no food to eat. {Mother Teresa}

That quote gets to me. My problems in this world disappear when looked at in the light of the previous quote. Good day. Fine Art and Jewelry.

A wonderful quote by Mother Teresa that I need to remember when I am feeling sorry for myself.

Hi Petra,
The mosaic is a framed piece. My husband does the mosaics using ceramic tiles he makes in our studio. Thanks for the comment.
